Crosswalks

Hello,
Fast speeds and blind spots make for a dangerous situation for drivers and pedestrians at this intersection. If families would like to use the local horse trails or visit Regency Park, they must risk their lives crossing Normandale, or add more than a quarter mile to their walk by crossing at the nearest crosswalk at El Toro and Normandale Drive. A few years ago, because of high speeds and a computer malfunction, a speeding car careened into a house on Countryside off Normadale Drive. A stop sign could have prevented this catastrophe. The intersection of Vista Easte and Normadale drive is an ideal location for a three way stop and crosswalk installation for pedestrian foot traffic across Normandale Drive between the Normandale and Montbury communities. Adding a crosswalk/stop signs, would increase traffic and pedestrian safety through reduced traffic speeds, and would increase pedestrian use of the sidewalks in neighboring housing communities.
