As an institution of early childhood development and childcare, the Goddard School is committed to providing quality infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K care to children in Lake Forest and surrounding communities.  The Goddard School’s focus on providing a leading Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (“STEAM”) curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment contributes to the development and promise of the youngest residents in our community. 

The Goddard School is a family-owned, woman-owned, and minority-owned local business in Lake Forest. Owned and operated by Parina Mehta, the Goddard school boasts high quality leadership and staff expertise in the provision of services for children. After receiving her Masters in Business Administration, Patina worked in management for over 11 years in various industries from teaching dance, designing homes to managing software projects. 

“I believe in providing a learning environment in which the children can thrive both socially and academically. Best part of my day is to see the big smile and receive hugs from the children at our school,” Parina shares as she describes her passion for serving our local community. 

This year (2019), Assemblyman Steven S. Choi honored the Goddard School of Lake Forest as the 68th Assembly District Small Business of the Year on Wednesday, June 19, in Sacramento.   

 Why did you choose to locate in Lake Forest? 

The Lake Forest community is very diverse and full of families dedicated to building a community where children can thrive. The  city council is very supportive of small businesses. They are amazing at providing resources and helping small businesses succeed. From construction to helping us open and reach out to the community, they’ve been absolutely wonderful.

What types of classes/services does your business offer? 

We are located in Lake Forest near Irvine & Mission Viejo. More than just a daycare, we are a preschool committed to providing the highest quality childcare experience for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K children.

Our curriculum is based on hands-on-activities. We also include enrichment programs such as Yoga, Sign language, Mandarin, Spanish, Music & Movement, Chess, Base-Fitness, Cooking, and Robotics, to name a few. 

The Goddard School’s F.L.EX.® Learning Program (Fun Learning Experience) allows teachers to tailor their lessons to their students’ interests. At The Goddard School of Lake Forest, they have integrated STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) into their lesson plans. They incorporate fun, hands-on projects every month that focus on these subjects, which in turn helps children develop the skills to collaborate, communicate and think critically and creatively.
