Building Counter Hours Impacted During Software Upgrade (December 2023)

The City will transition to an upgraded permit and inspections management software system on Friday, December 22, 2023, that offers a necessary update that will improve user experience and functionality for staff and applicants.

The City’s building permit counter will be temporarily impacted by a service closure to allow the City to coordinate final validation and launch preparations. In support of this transition, the City’s building permit counter will operate in a capacity as follows:

     Friday, December 22 – Completely Closed *Public Works and Planning counter/permit services will also be affected during the transition.*

     Inspection requests for Tuesday, December 26 will have a deadline of Thursday, December 21 at 3:30 p.m.

City staff will work during the closure day and through the weekend, anticipating that the permit counter will be ready to reopen for business on Tuesday, December 26 when the new system is launched. Please check the Building Division webpage for updates and to confirm reopening dates and hours for the counter.

Please note that wait times may initially be higher than normal while staff adapts to the new system and while any backlog of applications is processed.
