CITY COUNCIL
The City Council is comprised of five Lake Forest residents elected to serve a four-year term. The City Council selects a Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem annually. As a general law City, the City Council is responsible for making policy decisions and providing guidance to issues related to the overall quality of life. The City Council also serves as the Housing Authority Board and the Board of Directors for the Rancho Canada Financing Authority.

The Lake Forest City Council supports equality, free speech and the right to peaceful assembly. The Council also supports the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the City’s law-enforcement partner. Click here to see the Council’s full statement.
