Inicio More than 100 Expected for Lake Forest Special Needs Resource Fair More than 100 Expected for Lake Forest Special Needs Resource Fair Posted: Thursday, February 27, 2025 More than 100 young adults with special needs from throughout Orange County are expected to attend the Lake Forest Resource Fair & Spring Shindig on Saturday, March 1. The event will feature nearly 30 vendors and service providers, including Autism Behavioral Services, the Neurodivergent Parent Support Services, YMCA, and Council for Kids. The Resource Fair & Spring Shindig is just the latest event the City of Lake Forest is offering for the special needs community. The City holds holiday celebrations, dances, and an “adaptive skate day” at the renowned Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest for the community. The City also partners with local businesses to bring the special needs community comprehensive programs designed to increase their opportunities to participate in community, recreation, leisure, and cultural programs, as well as activities to build daily living skills. Programs and services help prepare persons who are disabled to become as socially, emotionally, and intellectually independent as possible. All classes are held in the City of Lake Forest.
