Home We Love Our Trees We Love Our Trees Posted: Thursday, October 5, 2023 Sometimes taking care of the forest means removing some of its trees, especially those that damage private property, overgrow, or become a public safety concern. The Public Works Department in October launched a citywide project that removes problematic trees on street parkways and plants new ones in locations that will not cause future damage. The project's first phase will focus on trees along Rockfield Blvd., Ridge Route Dr., Murilands Blvd., Cherry Ave., and Serrano Rd. Completion of the project is anticipated for mid-November. The City understands the vital role trees play in enhancing the overall quality of life in Lake Forest. The Citywide Street Parkway Tree Removal and Replacement Project is another step to protect and enhance the urban forest around our community.
