Fourth of July Firework Show Coming to Lake Forest

The City of Lake Forest will host a Fourth of July Firework Show on July 4 after the City Council approved new summer programming.

The Fourth of July Firework Show will feature a 20+ minute firework show, live performances, food vendors and other festivities. The event will begin at 6:30 pm with fireworks beginning at 9 pm. Residents are encouraged to arrive at the Sports Park at 6 pm. Overflow parking will be available at Saddleback Church.

Additional summer programming will include two summer concerts with the first at Pittsford Park on August 7 and the second on September 18 at the Sports Park.

4th of July Concert & Firework Event FAQ’s

  • Concert begins at 6:30pm
  • Fireworks begin at 9:00pm
  • Alcohol is NOT permitted in city parks as per the Municipal Code #13.03.010  
  • Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed on the grass fields ONLY!
  • There will also be 4 Food Trucks vendors selling a variety of food and snacks.
  • NO dogs/pets allowed!
  • Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.  
  • Items will not be monitored and will be left at your own risk.
  • City staff is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • City Staff is NOT responsible for items that may be moved.
  • There is NO Tailgating at the Sports Park, Saddleback Church, local business or neighborhood!
  • Blankets and Low Beach Chairs ONLY!
  • No pop-up tents, canopies or umbrellas staked into the ground.
  • All pop-up tents, canopies and umbrellas must be removed at dusk.
  • No seating on sidewalks or stairs!  
    1. They must be accessible for emergencies.
  • Handicap Drop-Off Zone off Vista Terrace entrance
    1. Handicap Placard is required for all drop-offs!
  • Overflow parking at Saddleback Church, use Purpose Dr.
  • There is NO Tailgating or viewing from the Saddleback Church Parking Lots.
  • If a parking lot is full and you leave; there is NO re-entry.
  • No food or drinks are allowed on the Synthetic Turf fields.
