Mayor: Lake Forest Continues to Serve Residents

Mayor Neeki Moatazedi assures residents that City leaders remain focused on serving Lake Forest, while monitoring the coronavirus situation.

"Around City Hall, we talk about the “new normal,” since coronavirus outbreak and Governor’s “stay home” order. Our goal is to make sure we continue to meet the community’s needs," Mayor Moatazedi wrote.

Yes, City buildings are closed to the public, but staff continues to serve the public daily. Uninterrupted services during this time include:

  • Building Inspections
  • Code enforcement
  • Fulfilling online public records requests
  • Parking enforcement
  • Park inspections and maintenance
  • Street Inspections and Repairs
  • Street sweeping
  • Trash collection

Many services are available online, starting at www.lakeforestca.gov. You can reach City staff during regular business hours by calling (949) 461-3400. We’re also continuing to monitor and respond to questions and calls for service on our Ask Lake Forest system at www.lakeforestca.gov/asklakeforest.

Our Community Services Department launched an innovative Virtual Recreation Center with an online art show, virtual tours of museums and aquariums and even online classes. You can find that at www.lakeforestca.gov/VirtualRecCenter.
