The City Council approved the Shea/Baker Ranch Area Plan (PDF) and Tentative Tract Map on May 15, 2012. The approved project included the following components: 

  • Maximum of 2,379 residential units.
  • Maximum of 25,000 square feet of non-residential development.
  • 7.27-acre Baker Ranch Community Park dedicated to the City of Lake Forest.
  • 7 neighborhood parks totaling 12 acres, open to the public and a .3 acre dog park.
  •  Three private recreation centers with swimming pools.
  • 8.38-acre Central Linear Park and a 5.05-acre Borrego Linear Park.
  • Associated streets, open space, landscaping, and required infrastructure.

As of April 2018, many of the Baker Ranch neighborhoods have been completed and are occupied.  All of the parks, open space areas, and streets within the Baker Ranch Community have been completed.
